Jede Qualitatsstufe eines Werkzeugs besteht aus einem anderen Material. Je hoher die Qualitatsstufe des Werkzeugs ist, umso besser lasst sich ein Rohstoff abbauen. Fur den Abbau mancher Rohstoffe benotigt ihr sogar ein Werkzeug einer bestimmten Stufe – beispielsweise fur Diamanten. Wenn ihr die mit einer minderwertigen Picke bearbeitet, geht der Diamant verloren. Baut ihr generell einen Block ab, erhaltet ihr dessen Rohstoff und konnt diesen zur Weiterverarbeitung verwenden.
Welchen Rohstoff kann ich weiterverarbeiten und wie?
Jeder Block im Spiel lasst sich fur irgendetwas verwenden. Allerdings ist nicht jede Art Block der Grundstein fur eine Produktionskette. Welche Gegenstande sich am Anfang kombinieren lassen und wie das geht, erfahrt ihr im Einsteiger-Guide auf Seite 159 der PC Games Extended 7/11.
Gibt es irgendwelche Gegner in Minecraft?

Markus "Notch" Persson ist der kreative Kopf hinter Minecraft.Markus Alexej Persson, der besser unter seinem Nicknamen „Notch“ bekannt ist, wurde am 1. Juni 1979 in Schweden geboren. Persson begann schon im Alter von sieben Jahren mit dem Programmieren. Damals bediente er sich dabei des Commodore 128 seines Vaters und produzierte sein erstes Spiel, ein textbasiertes Adventure. Uber die Jahre programmierte er flei?ig weiter und arbeitete schlie?lich bei king.com als Spieleentwickler. Dort entwickelte er eine ganze Reihe von Spielen auf Flash-Basis, die jeweils ungefahr ein bis zwei Monate an Entwicklungszeit benotigten, darunter ein Luxor-Klon und ein Jahrmarkt-Shooter. In dieser Zeit trat er den Avalanche Studios (Just Cause) bei, blieb dort jedoch nicht lange, da ihm die Arbeit in einem gro?en Studio nicht gefiel und er sich dort nicht wohlfuhlte.
